A Brief History of QDomes
The journey began in March 2020. During the first three months of lockdown, I suddenly found that I had time on my hands; time to reflect and focus. I used this opportunity to build something I had always wanted to build but hadn’t had the chance to before. Pictured in the circle above, is the first ever QDome - our greenhouse, built with off-cuts of timber I had lying around. What began as building a one-off structure out of the love of the trade, has grown into a business specializing in custom, handcrafted geodesic domes. From greenhouses to dining pods, hot tub roofs to memorial structures, QDomes are not only practical for many uses but one will add stunning beauty to any garden.
Our domes can be made from various grades of timber, from treated pine to western red cedar. The polycarbonate can be left clear or feature stunning artworks made from epoxy resin pours. All crafted to a size to suit your space.
